What is Staking?
Think of staking like a bank savings account, but better. You lock your COGN for a set period, and the blockchain automatically pays you more COGN as a reward while it's locked.
1 · Lock
Choose an amount of COGN and a lock period. Your tokens are set aside, you can't transfer them while they're locked.
2 · Earn
Rewards build up every millisecond automatically. No action needed, the longer you lock, the more you earn. You can claim rewards anytime without unlocking.
3 · Withdraw
When your lock period ends, unstake to get back your original COGN plus the rewards it earned.
The only risk: your COGN is locked and cannot be moved or spent until the lock period ends. Only stake what you don't need immediately.
